Malaysia to use biometric system to track down illegal workers

Immigration Department head Alias Ahmad said the system would use biometric data that is recorded upon entry to the country. The information would allow the government to locate foreigners who may be in the country illegally when they open bank accounts or check into hotels using their passports.
