Reasons for slow processing times? Australian 489 Visa,189 and 190 Visa-What we can do to avoid it
This video is regarding Reasons for slow processing times? Australian 489 Visa,189 and 190 Visa-What we can do to avoid it
Applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis, and actual processing times can vary due to individual circumstances so here am going to explain them one by one :
1) Complete application is lodged or not , with all necessary supporting documents
many a times due to some personal reasons or due to lack of information or by mistake all the necessary documents do not reach CO (case officer) this is the main reason the case gets delayed.
In such circumstance case officer will hold the case or will take decesion on the bases of available ifnormation .
I suggest you to follow a check list, which will make you more atteentive and error free , you will be able to provide all the
documnets to your CO depending on your case requirments.
I will provide you that check list in my next video
2) How promptly and efficiently you respond to any requests for additional information or clarifications by Case officer.
This is very important point usually case officer will give you 28 days to respond back to the queries if the response is not given then CO will hold the case or will conclude the case based on the available information
I suggest you to respond with the time frame given by CO and if you require more time then ask for it by giving proper reason , CO will surely extend the time lines to help you out.
3) How long it takes to perform re-verification and other required checks on the supporting information provided
90% of times the documents submitted to CO will undergo verification and other validity checks if they find documents to be fake or incomplete then the case will be put on hold and more information will be asked ,which will eventually eat up more time
I suggest you properly check and verify your documnets like date ,tenure and the information provided by you is correct and geniun, so that there will be no problem even if cross verification is done .
4) How long it takes to receive information from external agencies(Hospitals or passport offices), particularly in relation to health, character, and national security requirements
Its always recommended that you should get the health checkups done form reputed and recommended
hospitals and take follow up with the hospitals regarding the dispatch of the reports to the Australian DIBP
Apart form all the above 4 points here are some very important points to be considered regarding the passport validity and PCC (Police Clarence Certificate)
Take care that your passport is valid for at least 3 years before you lodge visa as the processing time of 489 is bit slower than other categories, it may take around 7 to 10 months to get the
grant and after grant if you get window period of less than 5 months and by chance your passport is about to expire then re-application of the pass port including police verification will take around 25 to 30 days and DBIP will take 15 to 20 days to update your passport details in there data base , you may have to struggle bit more so be careful
PCC Request Delay
Many a times applicants who are staying outside there native states in India have issue in getting PCC
estimated time to get PCC is just 40 mins without police verification * depending on passport officer and other requirements.
and 25 days approx with police verification * depending on passport officer and other requirements.
if due to any of the above reason PCC is not been submitted within 28 days form the date of request by the CO
then you can ask an extension by producing valid acknowledgments like submitted receipt of PCC application.
and ask for more time.
