Trump, Turnbull confirm Australia exemption from steel and aluminum tariffs

트럼프 “동맹국 호주에 철광·알루미늄 관세 면제”
The United States is set to give an exemption to Australia on President Trump’s planned steel and aluminum tariffs.
Trump tweeted on Friday that he had spoken to the Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, and that they were working quickly on a, quote, ‘security agreement’, that will not impose the tariffs on a ‘great nation’ he called an ‘ally’.
Turnbull later confirmed, also on Twitter, that an agreement was in place.
The Australian Prime Minister also revealed that although the legal paperwork was not yet ready, an executive order was set to be signed by President Trump, confirming the exemption.
The tariffs, which imposes a 25-percent tariff on foreign steel and a ten percent tariff on foreign aluminum will come into force in two weeks’ time.
