Authorities arrest two men in Melbourne immigration raid
Two men are in custody following an early morning raid at a home in Melbourne’s south-east.
Nine News have been told the men are suspected of being immigrants in the country illegally and the operation may be part of a larger security investigation.
Members of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) as well as members from the Australian Border Force (ABF) smashed in the front door about 6am, pining the home-owner to the floor before searching the suspect’s bedroom.

Two men were spoken to in the front yard of the home for some time, before being led away.
It is understood the other man was picking up the resident on their way to work.
Authorities seized a number of items including a mobile phone and diary and searched the vehicle of the second man.

Nine News were told one of the men had only been renting a room here for three months.
Charges are yet to be laid.
More to come…
